IDEAS 2016
IDEAS, a biennially held defence exhibition, will once again bring together all the industry’s players across the globe to showcase the latest technological innovations. The IDEAS-2016 team will welcome its participants at Karachi Expo Centre for the 9th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) event from 22 to 25 November 2016. IDEAS 2016, being the most strategically important event of the region, will once again bring together all the industry’s players across the globe. The 4 days of the show are exclusively for trade visitors and high official defence delegates. The most productive geopolitical region of Asia is one of the largest markets for Defence Products. In a bid to effectively meet the new challenge posed by the transformed regional and global security dynamics, Asia as well as governments of the neighboring continent of Africa allocates significant budgets for modernization and up-gradation programs for their armed forces.

2nd Steering Committee Meeting IDEAS-2016: Event preparations are swiftly moving ahead towards this mega event; aimed at promoting business prospects in Defence Sector of Pakistan.
Karachi, 2nd June: The preparations for IDEAS-2016, to be held on 22nd-25th November 2016, at Expo Centre Karachi is underway with full zeal. 2nd Steering Committee Meeting linked with IDEAS-2016 was held on 2nd June 2016 at Expo Centre Karachi. Key members and stake holders attended the meeting and discussed the progress made so far towards making it a success. While chairing this committee, Director General Defence Export Promotion Organization, Maj Gen Agha Masood Akram, HI(M), confidently stated “We are receiving an overwhelming response from foreign exhibitors for IDEAS-2016 from all around the world and is evident from the fact that more than 70% of the space have already been booked.” DG DEPO further requested the participants for their cooperation in order to promote a positive image of Pakistan, which is one of the main objectives of this exhibition. During the meeting, representatives from nominated departments gave presentations on the progress for their assigned responsibility.
