IBA Campus in DHA City Karachi

DHA City Karachi (DCK) is a residential-cum-commercial project, spread over more than 20,000 acres of land, which is being speedily developed as a Sustainable, Green and Smart City, in accordance with the contemporary engineering and town planning practices. The ongoing fast track development with institutionalized strength, international level of master planning, provision of world class amenities and its globally recognized sustainable status are some of the remarkable features that give an international stature to DHA City. Over here DHA is developing a dedicated Knowledge Park; spread over 103 acres of land where five nationally and internationally renowned educational institutions will establish their campuses. This will make DHA City a centre of excellence for promoting education. This project will act as a model city and will set new standards of excellence.

DCK will have a new IBA Campus. MoU between DHA Karachi and IBA for establishment of its new Campus at DHA City was signed in a simple and impressive ceremony held at DCK astride Super Highway. Commander 5 Corps Lt. Gen. Naveed Mukhtar was the chief guest of the function while Dean & Director IBA, Dr. Ishrat Husain and Administrator DHA Brig Zubair Ahmed were also present on the occasion.

Corps Commander on the occasion said that education is an enlightening force that changes the thinking and attitude of people so essential to fight the menace of terrorism and extremism in society. He commended the initiative of IBA to establish its new Campus in DCK which will help in promotion of quality education in the country and in enhancing the status of DCK as a unique city of international stature.

Dr. Ishrat Hussain thanked Pakistan Army and DHA administration for its cooperation in realizing the project of establishing a new IBA campus in DCK. He said that promotion of quality education was pivotal for progress of the nation. He reiterated that IBA was committed to produce dynamic and forward looking leaders who can produce innovative and creative solutions to address the pressing needs of the country. He added that the new IBA Campus in DCK would harness and nurture the best talent from the country and equip them with a renewed confidence and intellectual curiosity of professional dynamism. He said that IBA selected DCK for its new Campus because of its strategic location and futuristic significance of the new City. Brig Zubair Ahmed said that DHA accords highest priority to promotion of education as a tangible measure to bring socio-economic development of society. He said that there is no greater service in the humanity, than to promote education, which in its essence, is a potential force that can bring a qualitative change in human lives. He added that strength of a nation is dependent on the educational and intellectual prowess of its people and as such no country can advance without a sound educational base. Administrator reiterated that IBA is an inspiring example of an institution par excellence which is truly dedicated to the cause of promotion of quality education in the country.

A large number of people from all walks of life including notables, office bearers of DHA residents’ associations, educationists, investors and DHA/IBA officials attended the ceremony. The cherished IBA Campus in DHA City spread over 10 acres of land will be the harbinger of the beginning of a new era of progress and advancement in the area. The presence of IBA Campus would be encouraging and significantly contribute towards realizing the image of making DCK Knowledge Park a hub of knowledge and quality education in the region. The new IBA Campus will provide most congenial and intellectually vibrant reading and learning environment to students from all over Pakistan who will find it a congenial Place for learning contemporary concept of business education and other multi-dimensional disciplines of learning.
