OVERVIEW OF OPERATIONS OF THE COMPANY

The Company has achieved a sales volume of over Rs 24.1 billion during the year 2014 vs. Rs.18.8 billion in the year 2013 showing a growth of approx 28 %. The sale is divided as 54% Appliances & 46% Power Division. We have achieved profit after tax of over Rs.2.2 billion for the period, ending December 31, 2014, with a comparative figure of Rs. 607 million as of December 2013. PEL is targeting a sales volume of over Rs 33 billion during the year 2015. DIVISIONAL PERFORMANCE 

APPLIANCES

The Appliances Division of PEL is the pioneer manufacturer and leading player of the home appliances market comprising Refrigerators, Deep Freezer, Split Air Conditioners and Microwave Oven. Our sales plan of refrigerators for the year 2015 is 400,000 Nos Vs 330,000 Nos during the year 2014 and similarly our sales plan of Split AC for the year 2015 is 30,000 Nos. An extensive nationwide dealership network of approx 1,600 dealers and after sales service network with over 250 workshops (owned and contract-ed).

POWER

PEL's Power Division manufactures distribution & power transformers, switchgear, energy meters, these equipment are assembled under strict quality control and in accordance with international standards. Over the years, PEL's power equipment has been used in numerous power projects of national importance. Most of these are tailor made to buyer's specifications. PEL'S power equipment has consistently gained market share due to constant innovation and high quality standards.

We have orders in hand aggregating to Rs. 6.5 Billion.

EPC PROJECTS

A sub-division of power division engaged in the construction of grid stations and underground electrification of housing societies on turnkey basis.

Company's EPC contracting division has also taken a major step forward by awarding the first mega contract worth PKR 1.3 billion for building a 220 Kv grid station in Lahore. This has been achieved after successful completion of over a dozen 132 Kv EPC projects.

Order booked for EPC projects in current year 2015 is over Rs. 5 Billion
