Investment & Trade Conference organized by the Embassy of Pakistan in South Korea
Embassy of Pakistan South Korea has organized an Investment & Trade Conference in Seoul, South Korea on 25th June, 2018. Main objective of the Conference was to project Pakistan as an attractive and dependable trade and investment partner for the Korean Investors. The forum provided ample opportunities to share and discuss investment trade and joint venture possibilities with major Korean Conglomerates public and private companies, representatives of media and business establishments.
Secretary BOI also highlighted the conducive investment environment in Pakistan and also claimed that Pakistan is projected to become World’s 20th largest economy by 2030 and 16th largest by 2050 in terms of PPP. Pakistan has also been recognized by the World Bank amongst Top 5 Countries to receive private investment. He gave a brief introduction of KPK, its importance as a gateway to Central Asia linked with People Republic of China and contributing 35 US billion $ in GDP. Further claimed that investment climate in KPK provides comparative, geographical, cultural and commercial advantages. KP-BOIT’s presentation also highlighted availability of three (03) feasibility studies of 513 MW hydel projects and identification of two (02) projects of 855 MW in District Chitral. Similarly details of seven (07) oil blocks located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa indicating area, capital expenditure, and farm out % age, IRR, probability of success and other allied information were also highlighted.
